The modernization includes a complete transformation of the station's look, improvements to the area in front of the station, and better parking and other basic amenities. The first phase of the project involved spending 15 crore INR on station development, followed by a second phase with a 10 crore INR investment for further development. Key improvements in the first phase include the construction of two foot over bridges, an electric escalator, expansion of the parking area, a new look for the front of the station, and the installation of wall-mounted TVs displaying train schedules.
