Over 1,950 railway stations are now powered by solar energy, and the railway is committed to operating trains with green energy in the future. The Northeast Frontier Railway zone has successfully converted six buildings to Net Zero Carbon emission structures, earning them the 'Shunya Label' recognition. Additionally, the Central Railways has installed a 647 KWp rooftop solar system to mitigate CO2 emissions.

Yeh 2014 se pehle ke 3.68 MW aur 10.5 MW se bahut zyada hai. 1,950 se zyada railway stations ab solar energy se power ho rahe hain, aur railway aage chal kar green energy se trains operate karne ke liye committed hai. Northeast Frontier Railway zone ne apne chhe buildings ko Net Zero Carbon emission structures mein convert karne mein success achieve ki hai, jiske liye unhein 'Shunya Label' recognition mila hai. Iske alawa, Central Railways ne 647 KWp rooftop solar system install kiya hai, jisse saal bhar mein 18,122 tonne CO2 emissions kam hone ki ummeed hai.
