If that is the case then IR doesn't have any rights to take "Superfast" Charges from passengers of Poorva Exp (Both Via Gaya and Via Patna). I had read somewhere on the Internet that IR had once demoted the Himgiri Express from Superfast to Mail-Express Category because the train's total journey time has increased manifold since the 1970s. But after a few years, it was again upgraded to extracting Superfast Charges without speeding it by removing any redundant halts. What is the difference between Himgiri & KOAA-JAT Exps? What is the difference between Poorva Exp & Kalka Mail?
.
PS:...
more... There needs to be a radical difference between the journey times of a "Superfast", "Mail-Express(Fast)", "Intercity(Slow)" and "Passenger(Superslow)" train but it seems that in the Indo-Gangetic States the rule of muscle flexing by some socio-politico lobbies arm-twists all North India (Punjab/Harayana/J & K/Uttrakhand/HP) bound trains from Calcutta. Some people believe that adequate MEMUs, DEMUs, EMUs & IC Exp trains haven't been provided by the Indian Railways Ministry on the Grand Chord and Main Line Routes in Bihar since the past 35-40 Years so Long Distance trains have been corrupted due to unnecessary
#StoppageAddition !!! (I support necessary stoppage additions or train extensions only if it doesn't slow down any long distance train, especially SFs. Sasaram Jn Halt for Poorva Express is justified since the Kalka Mail isn't enough and we don't have a HWH-BSB IC Exp via SSM).
