The problem with GTNR is its location curse vis a vis the heavyweights of Lucknow. Most of the 'famous' trains from Lucknow are either North Bound (to Delhi) or West bound (Mumbai). Hardly any famous trains are there for east.
There is simply no sense in extending the Shatabdi, Tejas, DDN VB, Pushpak, LKO Mail, NDLS/LTT AC Superfasts, GRs to GTNR.
2.The...
more... most that GTNR can cater , is by train towards Bihar/east UP/NE to some extent, otherwise any train originating from GTNR will have a longer route ,especially when shorter and faster routes available.
3.The location of GTNR is known to people, but since not so famous trains are running from it makes it non existent. To solve this, GTNR can run weeklies/Holiday/Summer specials to different locations of India.
