Safety (CMRS), who is expected to inspect the line this month. Currently, 99% of administrative work is complete, construction is 97% complete, tunnel work is complete, the total system work is 77.6% complete, depot civil works are 99.8% complete, and the mainline track work is 87% complete. The Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) has completed its inspection, with the certificate pending, while the Independent Safety Accessor (ISA) inspection is ongoing. MMRCL has 19 rakes in its fleet, which is sufficient to operate Phase 1. The line is expected to carry approximately 1.7 lakh passengers per day. MMRCL is focusing on multi-modal integration of stations with last-mile connectivity, footpaths, seating arrangements, and foot over bridges. The Government of India has signed the final tranche loan agreement with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), completing funding for the ₹37,276 crore project. The revised project cost was approved on February 29, 2024, with a JICA loan of ₹21,280 crores comprising 57.09% of the total cost. The first phase of the JICA loan agreement was signed on September 17, 2013.
