It was hauled by a WAP-1/LKO loco that day [though I have seen it with P-5 as well in the past ]. IR should speed up and double the ALD-AYC section and reduce it's stoppages [remove Khajurhat and Gaur atleast] to extend it to GKP.
Despite the stoppages and slow mps, this train is faster b/w BST-ALD than the VB which takes a longer V shaped route. If this train can be extended to GKP, it will probably be as fast as the VB and will offer a viable cheap alternative in...

Even with stops and slow speed, this train is quicker between BST-ALD compared to the VB, which takes a longer V-shaped route. If this train can go all the way to GKP, it might match the VB's speed and give passengers a cheap daytime option to travel to SLN, PBH, and ALD.
