a speed of 30 km per hour. The engine then returned to Sonwal. This trial will continue for several days followed by load testing with freight trains and then electric locomotive trials. After all trials are successful, the Commissioner of Railway Safety will inspect the line on March 6th, 2024, before authorizing train operations. The project, costing approximately 1766 crores, consists of two phases. The Sonwal to Ghazipur City line is part of the first phase, while the Sonwal to Ghat line is part of the second phase. The trial attracted a large crowd who documented the event. The Sonwal to Ghazipur City line, measuring 9.6 km, has already undergone successful trials and received approval for train operations.
