The project will have 10 stations, including Delhi, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Beas, and Amritsar. The train will have an operational speed of 320 km/h and an average speed of 250 km/h. The NHSRCL is committed to minimizing environmental pollution through best management practices during construction and operation. A comprehensive environmental management plan has been developed and will be included in the tender documents for contractors to ensure its implementation during construction. Compensatory afforestation will be carried out in accordance with state forest policies for tree felling.
