The incident occurred around 1:30 am when the brothers were returning home on their motorcycle after dropping their younger brother off at Daltonganj railway station to board the Palamau Express. While returning, their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Jailhata Chowk in the city. The vehicle fled the scene. A police patrol team discovered the brothers lying injured on the road and transported them to the hospital. Nagendra Ram passed away during treatment. The police informed the family about the incident at 2:45 am and the deceased's body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination conducted at MMC on Sunday. The police are investigating the incident and are examining CCTV footage from the city to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
