Welcome to the great station of MAJN under SR PGT.
Mangala and Netravati were daily trains originating from MAQ before Konkan line laying. Later these trains were extended/ diverted to Kerala and Mangalore halt shifted to MAJN. Seat quota lost.
Both Mangala and Netravati towards Delhi/ Mumbai touch MAJN late night. Think of plight of Mangaloreans trying to reach MAJN to catch trains!!!!
Both...
more... these have lot of slack timing. Can go to MAQ and go further. But SR PGT will not accept the demands.
Welcome to the one and only location of PGT division having maintenance facilities, which gets such a treatment.
By the way, auto drivers in any city demand excess fare for odd time travel and nothing abnormal about Mangalore. Be it Chennai or Bangalore or Salem or Coimbatore, it is same. Of course, I am not justifying their behaviour.
please wait...Translate to EnglishWelcome to the awesome MAJN station under SR PGT. Before the Konkan line was built, Mangala and Netravati used to be daily trains starting from MAQ. But then they got extended/diverted to Kerala and Mangalore, and MAJN became the new stop. We lost our seat quotas because of that!
Both Mangala and Netravati, going towards Delhi/Mumbai, arrive at MAJN late at night. Just imagine the struggle for people from Mangalore trying to catch these trains at MAJN!
And to make matters worse, these trains have plenty of extra time. You can actually go to MAQ and go further, but SR PGT won't listen to our demands.
Isn't it ironic that PGT division - the only place with maintenance facilities - gets treated like this?
Oh, and by the way, auto drivers in any city always demand more money for late-night travel, so it's nothing unusual in Mangalore. Whether it's Chennai, Bangalore, Salem, or Coimbatore, it's all the same. Not that I'm justifying their behavior, though.
