One of the 150 pvt. trains announced would bear your wish, offering to complete Bengaluru-Mumbai luxurious journey within 16-17 hrs or less. But that would happen only after the whole route is doubled and electrified.

Even today, Solapur super fast takes less than 12 hours between YPR and SUR both ways. Add 4 hours for SUR to Pune and another 3 hours reach Panvel. Total 19 hours.
So, it is possible to run a proper Bangalore Mumbai train to cover the distance in 19-20 hours max.
If we have a TT something like YPR DEP 1530 PUNE ARR 0745 and Panvel 1100, will you not prefer? Return Panvel dep 1430 Pune dep 1830 YPR arr 1030 is possible.
Again

I am reiterating, there should be a will to find a way.

Adding to your post: Passenger trains 30. In train, you reach majestic. In bus, even after paying 300, you have to struggle in Satellite bus stand.
Our BMTC has a superb arrangement with which you have no bus from satellite Bus stand to Hosur road, Old Madras road, Koramangala/ Sarjapur road, Bannerghatta road etc. You will spend another 1-1/2 hours to reach your destination!!
For Mysore Bangalore train are better. But reaching majestic is a big problem. BMTC conveniently ignore train passengers.

Soon a similar day will come for Bluru-Pune-Mumbai also, just like it came now between Bluru-Mys. People will switch to trains, semi-high speed corridor in full swing. It may also include Mumbai-Bluru super speed trains.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
