ROZA WDG-4G twins #49003 and #49087, carrying a BOXN rake laden with coal, awaiting the starter to proceed towards the GAL or Okhla, at Hazrat Nizamuddin.
It's the first time I've seen a rake hauled by a multiple unit; as far as I know this is the intended configuration for the use of these locomotives.
The...
more... engine idling sound is unimpressive to my untrained ears, probably because it brings to mind the puff of a poorly maintained Alco. The klaxon is shriller than other locomotives and is quite pleasant.
#49003 is one of the first five dispatched from Erie, PA, but #49087 is a sufficiently advanced road number to indicate that the factory is doing well and as intended (and that we'll see more of these, more often.)
