Guys, any of you have experience carrying >=32'' LCD/LED TV in a night train along with you in your coach and not as a separate parcel in parcel van? Pls provide feedback and let me know if there were any challenges/issues. Thanks.

Planned in Mail on a weekday since it will be crowded on a Sunday or Sat..I think TTE/RPF might cause issue if I dont carry a luggage receipt.. So planning to take one from MAS parcel office before boarding.

just make sure you have the following 2 things
1. a pair of strong hands to carry if from PF to your home ( dont take risk with porters)
2. a ticket in 2a or 1a for obvious reasons...

Yep, I'll have to carry it myself. I spoke to a TTE yesterday and he asked me to pay extra charges at parcel office and get a receipt and once done there should be no issues even if its Sleeper class. Its just a 5.30 hrs journey and I should be fine keeping hold of it in SL itself without sleeping.

This is my experience:
I had carried 32" LCD TV in Seshadri Express from blr. I need to take to my hometown which is EE. I had a ticket in 2A from KJM to TPTY and took tatkal ticket from TPTY to BZA in 2A, luckily for both tickets I got Lower Berth. In KJM I went to Station Master, he directed me to go to some other room where they book luggage. Paid Luggage charges and had asked them to give luggage receipt till EE, but they refused saying that they can give luggage receipt only till the point I have the ticket. So they gave till BZA. In train TTE asked me what is it.

I told that it is LCD TV, he asked for luggage receipt. As soon as I got in BZA, I went outside to take ticket to EE for Early Morning Passenger train(which goes till RJY) the TC at the exit asked me to show luggage receipt and did not bother about the travel ticket. After seeing luggage receipt he allowed me to go outside. After purchasing new ticket I went and took luggage receipt from BZA to EE. While entering the same TC asked whether I took luggage receipt or not, I had showed him that then he allowed me to go inside. I had carried it with my hands.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
