Kalka station's platform would be extend for 23 LHB Coaches also this train has slip rake.
Jagah hi nahi hai Kalka mai jab bhi ye LHB hogi to CDG par short terminate ho jaegi
Kalka can't hold a full length LHB Rake, and LHB rakes cannot be splited into slip rakes.

They won't give any new train via GC unless it's VBE. Also Kalka is going to be upgraded in the next 5 years so maybe till that time this will remain ICF. Pretty sure they won't terminate it at CDG.

Bhai, Dehradun ka Platform extend nahi kiya NR. Dehradun is a State Capital giving major occupancy to trains. Instead NR started shifting Dehradun Trains to Yog Nagari Rishikesh.
What chance do you think Kalka has ? Where Occupancy is minimal ? 😂
NR isn't exactly known for taking risks or using brains for infrastructure.

History of this train is very intertwined. It is a mixture of several trains. It was introduced as TATA ASR. In the same time there used to run Hatia Chandigarh Kalka Express independently. After some time these two were clubbed together (slip-link method) at Muri and there was no part going to Kalka. Again the next year, they were being clubbed at Muri and detached at Ambala to go to Kalka. The original TATA ASR then went ahead to ASR. After some time Kalka slip was cancelled and the whole rake went to ASR. Again it got extended to PTK and then to JAT. On the other side to ROU then SBP. Tata lost a daily connection even though TATA was the original source of this train.
