That's a good point... although distance of 2212 + 82 тЙИ 2300 km in 37 hrs isn't bad timing with avg 62kmph. And I suppose EKNR does have SM facilities (or will have if it's connected to more parts of the country in the days to come).
Also by that logic that tourists won't go till Ektanagar/Kevadiya but halt at ST/ADI (where I slightly may differ), then EKNR shouldn't have any long distance trains at all, including the one to Chennai (20919/20) which also includes rake reversal! Recent reports suggest Statue of...
more... Unity's popularity is soaring with each passing month and year, so we can expect Kevadiya to grow and prosper commercially much more in the days to come! So it wouldn't be too wrong to expect EKNR to receive more long distance trains, no?
Furthermore, we have 12315/16 via PNBE - which is a quite popular train. 03109/10 follows the exact same alignment till SWM, so no reason why it wouldn't click. And Nagpur bound trains are controlled by SER, not ER, and we certainly do not want even one single train via Nagpur anymore - given the superb punctuality and prioritizations of SER, SECR and CR zones!

please wait...Translate to HindiTheek hai... halanki 2212 82 тЙИ 2300 km ki doori 37 ghanton mein poori karna bura nahin hai, average 62 kmph ke saath. Aur main samajhta hoon ki EKNR mein SM facilities hain (ya honge agar ye desh ke aur hisson se judi hai aane waale dino mein).
Iske saath hi, us logic se, jahaan tourist Ektanagar/Kevadiya tak nahin jayenge balki ST/ADI pe rukenge (jahaan main thoda alag sochta hoon), to EKNR mein koi bhi long distance train nahin honi chahiye, Chennai wali bhi (20919/20) jisme rake reversal bhi hai! Hal hi mein aayi reports se pata chala hai ki Statue of Unity ki popularity har mahine aur saal ke saath badhti ja rahi hai, toh hum ummeed kar sakte hain ki Kevadiya aane waale dino mein bahut zyada commercial roop se badhega aur tarakki karega! Toh EKNR mein aur long distance trains aane ki ummeed karna galat nahin hoga, kya?
Iske alawa, humare paas 12315/16 hai jo PNBE se hota hai - jo bahut popular train hai. 03109/10 bhi SWM tak same alignment pe chalti hai, toh koi reason nahin hai ki yeh click na kare. Aur Nagpur wali trains SER ke control mein hain, ER ke nahin, aur hum bilkul bhi nahin chahte ki ek bhi train Nagpur se ho - SER, SECR aur CR zones ki superb punctuality aur priorities ko dekhte hue!
