The railway is operating seven trains to facilitate the tourists. Additionally, the railway is running holiday special, special, and chartered trains to meet the demand of tourists. Tourists have booked four trains this weekend. People have already booked their travel to Shimla. Seats are currently unavailable for weekend travel to Shimla. There is a waiting list of 38 for the Himalayan Queen, 21 for the Kalka-Shimla Special, 17 for the Kalka-Shimla Express, 25 for the Kalka-Shimla Express, 20 for the Shivalik Deluxe, 18 for the Kalka-Shimla Special, and 16 for the Kalka-Shimla Express. Four special trains will be run to cater to the demand of tourists. On Thursday, a chartered train with seven coaches arrived in Shimla, booked earlier. The train departed from Shimla to Kalka at 11:15 AM on Friday. A holiday special train will be run from Kalka on Saturday. The train will arrive at Shimla station at 7:00 AM.
