The Railway Division, despite admitting the high demand and shortage, has only temporarily increased the number of coaches on the train.

The Indore-Bilaspur Narmada Express (18233), the Bilaspur-Indore Narmada Express (18234), the Nagpur-Shahdol Express (11201), the Shahdol-Nagpur Express (11202), and the Durg-Ajmer Express (18213) are also cancelled. Meanwhile, the Garib Rath express train running between Jabalpur and Chhatrapati Maharaj Shivaji Terminus (Mumbai) will have an additional third AC coach added on June 12th for the 12187 Jabalpur-CSMT Garib Rath Express and on June 13th for the 12188 CSMT-Jabalpur Garib Rath Express, helping to clear the waiting list.

(Jablpur- CSMT Garib Rath Express) departing from Jabalpur on June 12th, 2024, and to train number 12188 (CSMT- Jabalpur Garib Rath Express) departing from Chhatrapati Maharaj Shivaji Terminus on June 13th, 2024. This will provide an additional 81 berths in the Third AC class. With the inclusion of this coach, the train will now consist of 19 coaches, including 17 Third AC coaches and 2 generator cars.

Additionally, an extra third AC coach has been added to the Garib Rath Express train starting May 22nd to accommodate the increased demand during the summer season. The Rishikesh-Hubli weekly special train's operational period has been extended to June 10th for the train travelling from Hubli to Rishikesh (Train No. 06225) and June 13th for the train travelling from Rishikesh to Hubli (Train No. 06226). The Gomati Nagar-Hubli weekly special train's operational period has also been extended to June 15th for the train travelling from Gomati Nagar to Hubli (Train No. 07306) and June 18th for the train travelling from Hubli to Gomati Nagar (Train No. 07305).
