Alight here for Sri Sailam Devasthanam
I will try to cover all my experience from recent visit
1. If you are with your senior citizen family members who prefer travelling by train then only plan by this route otherwise take direct bus from BZA or SC.
2. AC Dormitory is available there for General Males.
3....
more... If you make some efforts then you can book your taxi in advance which will pick up you from MRK, take care of your all local sightseeing as well and return to MRK. It will cost you around 6000 - 7000 excluding toll as I enquired from other parties available on station (majorly Force Toofan which is 12 seater jeep was there with South Indian families). As we are only 3 persons we went by bus.
4. 1st bus arrives at MRK at around 5:30 am and departed in 10-15 minutes. It costs around 105 per person. It took around 4 hours including around ½hr stoppage for chai nashta and there material loading tooks place for Srisailam. No idea about other buses after that.
5. MRK to MRK bus stand auto is at fix cost of 25 per person.
6. 1st bus from MRK bus stand is at 5 am. Normal bus at 100
Delux bus at 195
Ultra Delux at 250
7. Better to book your accomodation in advance from Devasthanam website or at any other place. There are so many other community based Dharamshalas and they also offer lunch & dinner.
8. For Darshan - Saturday, Sunday and Monday are crowdy days as suggested by others so I planned in weekdays from Wednesday to Friday.
9. 4 types of darshan are there
i) Free Darshan - it will take around 1½hr to 2hr depending upon the time you enter the line.
ii) Sheegra Darshan at 150 - No idea, as I observed you will only skip few halls and then merged with free Darshan queue.
iii) Ati Sheegra Darshan at 300 - No idea, as I observed you will only skip few more halls and then merged with free Darshan queue.
iv) Sparsha Darshan at 500 - My opinion either go for free Darshan or Sparsha Darshan.
For Senior Citizen Darshan, young person accompanying them will have to buy 300 ticket.
10. Devasthanam Annaprasadam is there for lunch time only from around 11 am.
11. For North Indians -
A. Roti = Maida Roti
B. Chapati = Maida Roti fried with oil on both sides.
C. Parantha = Lachcha Parantha fried with oil on both sides.
D. There is also jawar roti available as few places.
E. Dosa, Idli, Vada, Rice, Fried Rice and other South Indian dishes are available in bulk.
F. Taste of Tea available at local tea stalls at even 10 rupees is very good.
That's all my friends. Will update any other details if left. For any query you can get in touch.
