The guard noticed brake shoe failure in the third wagon, causing the train to come to a sudden halt. Railway personnel working on the track and the train guard informed the Kanchौsi station superintendent. The incident was also reported to the Tundla and Etawah station controls. Express trains approaching from behind were diverted to platform number one. According to station superintendent Darbari Kumar, the train being moved to the main line did not disrupt the operation of other trains.

Guard ne teesre wagon ke brake shoe fail होने ko notice kiya, jisse train achanak ruk gayi. Track pe kaam karne wale railway workers aur train ke guard ne Kanchौsi station superintendent ko bataya. Incident ki jankari Tundla aur Etawah station controls ko bhi di gayi. Express trains jo peeche se a rahi thi, unhe platform number one pe divert kiya gaya. Platform number one at Kanchausi railway station is being expanded. Heavy machinery is being used to remove old sleeper stones, iron pieces, and debris from the platform to make space for the expansion. The plan is to extend the platform towards the old goods shed.
