The Vande Metro is a self-propelled train set with a top speed of 130 kmph, featuring fully air-conditioned interiors with modern amenities like spacious gangways, dust-free environments, and lightweight aluminum luggage racks. Each coach can accommodate 100 seated passengers and an additional 200 standing passengers. The train also boasts automatic entry and exit doors, mobile charging sockets, advanced passenger information systems with LCD displays, and the KAVACH anti-collision system for enhanced safety. In its initial phase, the Vande Metro is expected to operate on routes like Lucknow-Kanpur, Agra-Mathura, Delhi-Rewari, Bhubaneswar-Balasore, and Tirupati-Chennai, connecting 124 key cities nationwide.
