3:30 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 6:35 AM. The decision to extend the train was made after considering the difficulties faced by Bengaluru travelers. MP Raghavan had met with South West General Manager in Hubli two years ago and later discussed the issue with the General Manager in Chennai. Southern Railway also supported the proposal. However, some people had pressured against extending the train two months ago, prompting the Mangaluru MP to meet the Railway Minister. Despite this, the decision to extend the train was finally made. The MP also mentioned that efforts are underway to extend the Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat train to Kozhikode. Further, the railway is considering starting more MEMU services to Kozhikode, as only one out of 11 approved MEMU services is currently operating there.

Bengaluru ke travellers ko hone wali pareshanion ko dekhte hue yeh faisla liya gaya hai. MP Raghavan ne do saal pehle Hubli mein South West General Manager se mulakat ki thi aur baad mein Chennai mein General Manager se baat ki thi. Southern Railway ne bhi is proposal ko support kiya. Lekin, kuch logon ne do mahine pehle train ko badhane ke khilaaf pressure dala tha, jiske baad Mangaluru MP ne Railway Minister se mulakat ki thi. Is sabke baad bhi, train ko badhane ka faisla aakhirkar le liya gaya. MP ne yeh bhi bataya ki Mangaluru-Goa Vande Bharat train ko Kozhikode tak badhane ke liye koshishen chal rahi hain. Iske alawa, railway Kozhikode mein aur MEMU services start karne pe bhi soch rahi hai, kyonki abhi sirf 11 approved MEMU services mein se ek hi service chal rahi hai.

The same train currently operates a special Vande Bharat service between Chennai and Kottayam for Sabarimala pilgrims. The issue is basically happening more in the ERS-TVC (section via Allp) where there is single line stretch. What has compounded the matter is couple of trains running in monsoon TT including TVC-Rajdhani and one more TVC-NZM SF. So 3 trains VB, Rajdhani and the NZM train are allowed to cross at the expense of the daily passenger train which leaves on time from ERS and then is detained at the next station (Kumbalam) for more than 45 min. The monsoon TT ends on 31-Oct so there might be some respite. On the other hand railways can try and improve their controlling slightly better. Passengers are saying that instead of detaining for so long at one station, the train has sufficient time to move to couple of stations ahead and this can reduce the delay and crossing can easily happen there.

Nothing much will happen. They cannot influence the outcome. SR (PGT div) will come with a standard response on measures being taken,The detentions of other trains has already come to notice of SR (TVC and PGT div) and some work is happening to resolve this.

Extension to Kannur itself was a wrong decision. Now demanding extension to Kozhikode is toooo much. Leave this SWR train as SBC MAQ train.
Let SR run a train from Kozhikode to Bangalore via CAN KGQ MAJN HAS.
