for a new railway line between Narwana and Uklana (approx. 27 kilometers), a new chord line in Kurukshetra (approx. 10 kilometers), and the elevation of the Kathal railway track, including the Kathal railway station. The final location survey for the Karnal-Yamunanagar new railway line has been approved by the Railway Board, and HRIDC is working to obtain early approval from the Railway Ministry. The final location survey for the Farukhnagar-Jhajjar new line has been approved by the Railway Board, aiming to improve rail connectivity between Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi and Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar. The construction of the major viaduct for the KET project is nearing completion and is expected to be operational by August 1, 2024.
