local trains. It will be a crucial station for the Noapara-Barasat (via Airport) metro line, as well as the Sealdah-Bongaon branch. The station will have two platforms for easy passenger access, and will feature ticket counters, seating, first-aid rooms, restrooms, and digital display boards. The first phase of the Noapara-Barasat metro project, which includes the section from Noapara to the airport, is nearly complete. Construction work on the metro line from Noapara to Dum Dum Cantonment is also almost finished. The first phase of the project, including the section between Noapara and the airport, is expected to be operational this year. The second phase of the project, which includes the extension of the metro line beyond the airport along National Highway 12, is currently underway. Dum Dum Cantonment station will also have 6 escalators, 3 lifts, 7 staircases, 16 AFC gates, and a modern fire suppression system for passenger safety. The station is almost complete, with the AFC gates already installed. The third rail line is expected to be charged by next month, followed by trial runs. The General Manager of Metro Rail, Shri Uday Kumar Reddy, has inspected the station. The metro service is expected to start operating from Dum Dum Cantonment station around mid-April.

Station pe do platforms honge, jisse passengers aasani se aana jaana kar sake. Iske saath, ticket counters, baithne ki jagah, first-aid rooms, washrooms aur digital display boards bhi honge. Noapara-Barasat metro project ka pehla phase, jisme Noapara se airport tak ka section hai, almost complete ho chuka hai. Noapara se Dum Dum Cantonment tak metro line ka construction kaam bhi almost khatam ho gaya hai. Is saal is project ka pehla phase, jisme Noapara aur airport ke beech ka section hai, chaloo hone ki ummeed hai. Project ka doosra phase, jisme airport se aage National Highway 12 ke saath metro line extend ki ja rahi hai, chal raha hai. Dum Dum Cantonment station pe 6 escalators, 3 lifts, 7 staircases, 16 AFC gates aur modern fire suppression system bhi honge, passengers ki safety ke liye. Station almost complete ho chuka hai, AFC gates bhi install ho gaye hai. Agle mahine tak third rail line charge kar di jaayegi, aur uske baad trial run shuru ho jaayenge.
