The automatic train protection (ATP) system, known as 'Kavach,' will be expanded for safety. By 2030-31, waiting lists for trains are expected to be eliminated entirely. The railway minister emphasized the importance of increasing railway capacity for the vision of a developed India by 2047, stating that the railway is a vital transportation means for the poor and middle class.
