The accused confessed during interrogation that they were part of a gang that conducted reconnaissance during the day and then stole batteries, copper plates, and other materials from railway cabins at night, selling them to scrap dealers Rahul Gupta, Anil Gupta, Krishna Kumar alias Riku Agrahari, and Arun Agrahari for profit.
