3000 crore to make 10 lane highway is one more waste project like NICE corridor instead of that utilising that money for Mysuru sub urban and Bengaluru sub urban rail will be profitable they should stop wasting money simply on roads to make more vehicles run between mysuru bengaluru and make better rail services between surrounding cities of bengaluru.
But their is lot left to be done in rail infra in Karnataka so I don't know why govt blindly investing 3000cr on just 10 lane for Mysuru Bengaluru road their are lot of places deprived of better rail services in state and also the state capital itself still don't have good sub urban rail network yet so they can use that amount for such infrastructure.
Yes. Suburban network is very important for Bangalore. And, for that there has to be increase in number of tracks, which was supposedly to be done but then shelved due to lack of land.
Hhm other cities like Chennai Hyderabad Mumbai Delhi Kolkata got their sub urban rail network but central govt neglected Bengaluru previously and in this state govt interest also lacked so today Bengaluru developed as major cosmopolitan city now they remembered it but now inch land also very valuable in this city due to its land property rates today but they have to make land acquisition considering future extn like tripple/quadrapple lines cause once suburban rail starts it will take good momentum and services considering population and traffic jam of this city.
