Vande Bharat Express trains across SCR run with full occupancy

Four Vande Bharat Express trains launched by South Central Railway last year have consistently achieved over 100% occupancy. In December 2023, occupancy rates reached as high as 143%. initially had 8 coaches but was increased to 16 due to high demand. It recorded 114% occupancy in December for the Secunderabad-Tirupati route and 105% for the return route. The Kacheguda-Yesvantpur train (8 coaches) saw an occupancy of 107% for the outbound trip and 110% for the return trip. The Vijayawada-MGR Chennai train (8 coaches) connecting Tirupati reached an impressive 126% occupancy. These trains offer comfortable seating with AC Chair Cars and Executive Class coaches. Features include a GPS-based passenger information system, automatic sliding doors, reclining seats, CCTV cameras, LED lighting, and charging points.
