Scheme to re-appoint retired railway officers against vacant posts | Know all about salary and other facilities

The Indian Ministry of Railways has implemented a scheme to re-engage retired railway officers as consultants to address the shortage of Gazetted Officers. being eligible. The scheme allows zonal general managers to re-engage these officers for vacant JTS and STS positions, subject to 16 terms and conditions. The maximum age limit for re-engagement is 65 years, and the scheme specifically emphasizes that it is not considered re-employment. The remuneration for these consultants is fixed monthly, calculated by deducting basic pension from their last drawn pay, and remains unchanged throughout the contract. Consultants are initially engaged for one year, extendable based on requirements. They are entitled to a paid leave of 1.5 days per month, but accumulated leave cannot be carried over. Consultants are not eligible for housing allowances or accommodation but receive transport allowance based on their retirement rate. They can also receive travel allowances (TA/DA) for official tours. The scheme further clarifies that re-engaged officers will be discharged upon the appointment of new candidates selected through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or departmental selection.

Indian Railway Ministry ne retired Railway officers ko consultant banakar re-engage karne ka scheme launch kiya hai. Ye scheme, jo December 2026 tak chalega, Gazetted Officers ki shortage ko door karne ke liye hai. JTS, STS aur JAG categories ke retired officers ko scheme ke andar vacant posts par lagaaya ja...

sakta hai. Zonal general managers ko scheme ke andar 16 terms and conditions ko follow karna hoga. Re-engagement ki maximum age limit 65 years hai aur scheme mein clearly mention kiya gaya hai ki yeh re-employment nahi hai. Consultants ko monthly remuneration diya jaayega, jiska calculation retirement ke time ki last drawn pay se basic pension deduct karke kiya jaayega. Remuneration contract ki puri duration ke liye unchanged rahega. Consultants ko initially ek saal ke liye engage kiya jaayega aur requirement ke basis par extend kiya ja sakta hai. Unko har month mein 1.5 days ki paid leave milti hai lekin accumulated leave carry forward nahi ho sakti. Consultants ko housing allowance ya accommodation nahi milta hai, lekin unko transport allowance retirement ke time ki rate se milega. Unko official tours ke liye TA/DA bhi mil sakta hai. Scheme mein clearly mention kiya gaya hai ki re-engaged officers ko UPSC ya departmental selection through new candidates ke appointment hone par immediately discharged kar diya jaayega.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
