13023 should remain via BGP. If it goes via JSME, the connection from Gaya to Bhagalpur will be lost.

13023/24 is the only daily express train from BGP route to Gaya.

Instead of diverting the Gaya-Howrah Express, demand a new train via JSME.

BGP has a connection to Gaya but it's only weekly, right?

Daily, only 13023/13024 runs. So, it can be diverted via JSME once an alternative is found.

Bhagalpur - Gaya Intercity should run as an alternative and it should be daily.

Not all railfans want trains to originate from their home. It's fine if they originate from a major station and arrive at their home.

And there is no demand for Mahabodhi from Bhagalpur. ECR wants to clear the Gaya yard and send it to Bhagalpur because Gaya to Saharsa, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur etc are too far, so Bhagalpur remains the last option. ECR could have proposed the Bhagalpur extension for Buddh Purnima, but it was proposed to Khagaria via Munger Bridge, so approval is not being received from ER.

And most new trains are weekly or biweekly. They become daily later on, and anyway, the Railway has no shortage of employees, so new trains can be requested. It's wrong to consider other people's trains as your own pride.
